In this privacy policy, we explain the way, volume and purpose of the usage of your personal data which are used by our website and services.

General

The protection and security of your personal data is very important for us. We take care of your personal data and treat them according to the european general data protection regulation (GDPR), as well as country specific laws. The GDPR is the basis for collecting, processing and saving your personal data. We will always obtain your agreement, if there is no legal basis for processing your personal data. In general, our web site can be used without providing personal data. Entering personal data is always done voluntary (e.g. in case you contact us, or if you create a user account). These data will not be given to third parties, if there is no legal obligation. We implemented numerous of organizational and technical actions to protect your personal data as good as we can. The data transfer in the internet can have security holes. A complete protection of your data cannot be guaranteed. Collection of general information

Any access of our website is automatically recorded in log-files. We record the requested site, your IP-address, date and time, browser version, the website you come from (referrer), as well as some informations which help us to protect our website and services against hackers. Those information are also recorded if the software provided by us is interacting with our online services. For example when loading content, looking for updates, or sending error reports. We use those information to be able to deliver the content of our website and services correctly, for statistic purposes, and to protect our services against hackers. A personalised analysis will not be done. Processing of those information is based on our justified interest to protect our website and services and optimise them. The log-files are separately stored from your personal data, and are deleted after 14 days.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies in some cases, to simplify and optimise its usage. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer by your browser. The do not contain viruses. We do not store personal data in cookies. Cookies contain for example some of your interests which can be used for marketing purposes. We also use so called session-cookies. They help us to recognise you as an user of our services and to provide your personal contents and functions of your user account. Session-cookies are deleted as soon as you leave our website. You can delete single cookies, or disable saving cookies in the settings of your browser. The functionality of our services may be restricted if cookies are disabled.

Software-updates

The software provided by us automatically checks if updates are available. If yes, you and can decide if the software should be updated. We decided to search for updates automatically, because we consider it important to have the latest software version installed, especially for security reasons. You can disable this function at any time in the settings of the program.

Sign Up

You have the possibility to create an user-account. Signing up is optional. But only signed up users can use our services without restrictions. When signing up, we generally collect and store our contact data (like your email address), as well as account data (username and password). Your user account will be assigned to an unique identifier. We use the data collected during sign up only for internal usage and for fulfilling the contract. We do not give the data to others, except it is necessary to fulfill the contract, to comply with legal regulations, or for criminal prosecution. We give your username and id to other users, if you share your stored content with them. You have the right to see, change, and delete the personal data you provided during sign up. We store the personal data only as long as the corresponding user account exists, or as long as it is required by legal regulations. You are responsible for saving your personal data before terminating your user account.

PayPal as payment service provider

For the handling of payments of our fee-based offers, we integrated components of PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. & Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxemburg) in our website. PayPal is a online payment service provider which handles payments over virtual bank accounts. Instead of a bank account number, a email address is used to identify a PayPal account. By using this payment option, you agree the transmission of your personal data which are necessary for handling the payment. Generally, the data you entered during the payment process are sent to PayPal. It includes your contact data and other data which are necessary to handle the payment and to prevent fraud. Furthermore, we transmit personal data to PayPal which correspond to your user account (e.g. your user-id). The transmission of those data is based on the fulfillment of the contract. Due to security reasons, we do not collect and store bank or credit card information by our own. Potentially, the personal data transmitted to PayPal are again transmitted to credit agencies for identity verification and credit credit assessment. Furthermore, PayPal maybe transmits the data to affiliated companies or subcontractors, if it is required for fulfilling contractual obligations, or to process the data. Social network activities

Beside our website, we use social networks to take up contact with the users of the corresponding network, and to inform them about new functions and contents of your services. When using those social networks, you agree to the terms an privacy guidelines of the corresponding provider.

Encryption

For security reasons, and to protect confidential data, we use SSL encryption in our website. Usually, you can recognise an encrypted connection by the lock icon in the address line of your browser, or if the address switches from "http://" to "https://".

Web analytics service Trackboxx

We use the web analytics service Trackboxx on our site. We use it to statistically evaluate visitor access and analyze the use of our website. The data is stored anonymously on a server in Germany for the aforementioned purpose and is subject to the requirements of the GDPR. We do not use any cookies or store any personal data. Rather, your IP address is used to generate a code that is then assigned to an anonymous user ID while you are on our website. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person and is encrypted with a code that changes daily. It is therefore also not possible to "recognize" you when you visit our website again. Cross-site tracking, linking of data with other sources or passing on of information to third parties does not take place. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6, para.1, lit. f, GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the need-based design and optimization of our website. Your right to information, correction and deletion

Additionally, you have the right to get information about the purpose of the processing, the type of the processed data, the receiver (especially receiver in other countries and international companies), the duration we plan to store the data, and the origin of the data.
